My 4 yr old niece lives in the desert, and had never experienced a thunderstorm until visiting. When she woke up in the morning, I asked her if she knew it stormed. She looked at me and in a dead serious tone said, “yes, I heard lightning ponies”. Apparently lightning ponies are responsible for thunder, but she didn’t get to actually see lightning. She asked me what it looked like and so I googled some images for her to see. Naturally, the first picture that comes up is this:
“Look, a lightning pony!” she yells with exuberance. Thanks to google, there is a 4 year old who may never be convinced that lightning ponies don’t exist. Then again, maybe they do exist.
