For those of you also living in the northern US, you know what the weather is like right now. Damn cold. Not a critter in sight, with the exception of my crazed and over-furred canine friend. I’m not usually one to shy away from cold (for fun, I once went camping when it was -20F… actual temp, not wind chill), but when it jumps from a sunny 40 degrees to negative temps in a matter of hours, it’s too much. So, I outsmarted mother nature and captured her beauty from indoors this morning — window frost.
How do you stay warm on bitter cold days?
Keep an eye out for my next post – it will be a DIY tutorial for microwave-friendly heating bags! Perfect for warming the bed!

Damn cold is right! And it’s supposed to be worse tomorrow. Yuck.
Great photo! Love the detail.
Thanks! …and please hurry, spring :)
Nice photo, and my furry, canine friend also doesn’t mind the frigid temperature. She still wants to play ball! I had to put a space heater in my office today due to loss of circulation in my fingers. Staying warm? Hmmm….hot chocolate and something sweet.
Mmm, hot chocolate sounds good right about now! Stay warm :)
Great post. It’s been cold here as well. I guess if you are well prepared camping might be tolerable when the temps drop below 0 C. I’ve been frozen when camping in Newfoundland during late summer when temps get lower. But again my gear isn’t super warm gear. LOL
Love your pictures of the frost. I was wondering, if I could photograph the frost. You have totally inspired me.
Have a warm day!
Definitely, the right gear makes all the difference – though nothing ever seems as warm as they rate it, ha. I’d love to see your frost photos if you take some; stop back here and post a link if you do! Happy Friday :)
